I had turned it off just before boarding the flight. I suspect it popped off when I was sitting in the terminal, with a slight chance that it popped off when we changed seats on the plane to avoid a baby. I'm going to have to get a cell phone holder that loops through my belt instead of a damned clip-on.

I discovered the was missing when I went to power it on while sitting on the plane in San Jose. Janet called my phone and it went directly to voice mail, so we know it was still off.

I'll give the Las Vegas airport lost and found another call today. If no one has turned it in, I'll probably have Verizon send me a knew one.

You should have tried calling it before shutting it off, in case someone honest had found it.

Don't lose hope. A few years before I began working for Southwest Airlines, I had accidently left my passport onboard. I hadn't even realized it was missing when it showed up at my parents house a month or so after the flight.
